Job summary

Hindalco - Foils & Packaging in India seeks a full-time Diploma holder in Metallurgy or Mechanical with 2-5 years of experience in a metals industry laboratory, including extrusion, SRS and FRP.

You will perform lab methods, instrument calibration, sample preparation, test records, reporting, LIMS, microscopy, metallography, spectroscopy, ILC testing and grain size measurement, while collaborating across teams to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering with 2-5 years in a metals laboratory.
• Experience in extrusion, SRS & FRP.
• Knowledge of lab methods, instrument calibration, sample preparation, test records and reporting.
• Familiar with LIMS, microscopy, metallography, spectroscopy, ILC testing and grain size measurement.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the workforce.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and teamwork focused on timelines and targets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and calibrate lab instruments and equipment.
• Prepare samples and document test results in the LIMS.
• Record tests, generate reports and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with production and QA teams to support quality targets.
