Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Supervisor (Transitions) to lead planning activities for Optodev P2, support inventory strategies, and drive continuous improvement. You will mentor planners, collaborate with service, production, and cross-functional teams, and help achieve service and efficiency goals in a dynamic global environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field, 5–10 years in planning, and strong skills in leadership, communication, and ERP tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial/manufacturing engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in supply chain planning in a high-volume retail or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong knowledge of demand/supply planning and inventory management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with MRP systems such as MFG Pro, SAP and Oracle.
• Advanced MS Excel; basic MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• APICS CPIM qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Planning Team to ensure targets are met.
• Ensure policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Collaborate with Customer Service and Production to maintain service levels.
• Train planners on inventory planning tools.
• Monitor finished goods and substrate inventory via KPIs.
• Maintain optimal finished goods and substrate levels against forecast.
• Optimize VMI replenishment to align production capacity with demand.
• Resolve cross-functional issues with customers and suppliers in Transitions facilities.
• Participate in projects related to customers, suppliers, new product introductions, and transformations.

Your Role

We are looking for a Supply Chain Planning Supervisor (Transitions) who will manage and provide leadership for all Optodev P2 Planning activities. He/She will assist the Supply Chain Section Head in ensuring that the department key metrics and targets are met in terms of inventory management both for the local and offsite distribution centers. He/She will help to support the development of the Planners technical knowledge and competencies, and will drive both local and global initiatives on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the activities of the Planning Team.
• Ensure that policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Work closely with the Customer Service Supervisor and Production Planner to ensure excellent service rate to the customers.
• Ensure that customer planners are well-trained and equipped on inventory planning tools.
• Monitor inventory of finished goods and substrates through established KPIs.
• Maintain good inventory levels of finished goods and substrates that support forecasted demand and working capital target.
• Computes and reviews inventory targets and ensure that the level are appropriate to the forecasted demand versus.
• Optimize VMI calculation/replenishment to support utilization of production capacity where applicable or necessary.
• Lead the resolution of any cross functional customer and supplier issues within Transitions manufacturing facilities or distribution centre.
• Actively participate in projects relating to customers and suppliers including new product introduction and product transfers.
• Actively participate in Transformation projects.

A Portrait of a Suitable Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Sciences/Related Technical Discipline.
• 5-10 years experience in Supply Chain Planning in a complex and high volume retail or manufacturing environment
• Leadership experience and exposure
• Good knowledge in supply chain (demand/supply) planning and inventory management.
• Good verbal and written communication skill is essential.
• Good understanding of MRP system like MFG Pro, SAP and Oracle.
• Advanced knowledge in MS Excel and basic knowledge on other MS Office Applications, such as Word and Power Point.
• Project Management experience is an advantage
• APICS CPIM qualification is an advantage
