Job summary

AcBel Polytech (Phils.) Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure materials and components meet quality requirements. You will conduct supplier audits, qualify new suppliers, monitor performance, and lead RCA/CAPA for supplier issues.

The role requires a Engineering degree and 1–5 years in supplier quality, with knowledge of ISO, IPC, and quality tools. Collaboration with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production is essential for sustained improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; disciplines include Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related.
• 1–5 years in supplier quality engineering, QA, or manufacturing quality; semiconductor/electronics preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, SPC, DOE, PPAP, APQP).

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure quality compliance.
• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers and materials through reviews, on-site assessments, and testing.
• Maintain an approved supplier list and ensure adherence to requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance using quality metrics (PPM, on-time delivery, responsiveness).
• Lead RCA/CAPA for supplier-related quality issues.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Warehouse teams on supplier concerns.
• Support NPI by ensuring supplier readiness for new product introductions.
• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement programs.
• Facilitate supplier workshops, training, and technical discussions to raise quality capabilities.
• Promote risk management strategies including FMEA and Process Control Plans.
• Coordinate with FA/ORT groups for supplier material investigations.
• Work with IQC to address supplier-related non-conformances and resolution timelines.
• Escalate chronic supplier issues and drive long-term corrective actions.
• Review supplier process/ material changes and ECN/PCN for risk assessment.
• Prepare supplier quality reports, trend analyses, and management presentations.
• Support customer and internal audits related to supplier quality.

About the role

AcBel Polytech (Phils.) Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to ensure that all purchased materials and components consistently meet company and customer quality requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Evaluate and qualify new suppliers and materials through documentation review, on-site assessments, and sample testing.
• Maintain an approved supplier list and ensure suppliers adhere to company requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance using quality metrics (PPM, delivery, responsiveness, etc.).
• Review and analyze incoming quality issues and lead supplier-side root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (RCA/CAPA).
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and Warehouse teams on supplier-related concerns.
• Support product development teams by ensuring supplier readiness for new product introductions (NPI).
• Develop and implement supplier quality improvement programs.
• Facilitate supplier workshops, training, and technical discussions to improve quality capabilities.
• Promote risk management strategies, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Process Control Plans.
• Work closely with Failure Analysis (FA) and Reliability Test (ORT) groups for supplier material-related investigations.
• Coordinate with Incoming Quality Control (IQC) for supplier-related non-conformance and ensure timely resolution.
• Escalate chronic supplier issues and drive long-term corrective actions.
• Review supplier process changes, material changes, and Engineering Change Notifications (ECN/PCN) to assess potential quality risks.
• Prepare supplier quality reports, trend analysis, and management presentations.
• Support customer audits, third-party audits, and internal quality audits related to supplier quality.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce supplier defects and improve product reliability.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related)
• Minimum of 1–5 years in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality (semiconductor or electronics industry preferred).
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are highly encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, SPC, DOE, PPAP, APQP).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (preferred), IPC standards, and customer quality requirements.
• Understanding of semiconductor/electronics materials and processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (for dealing with suppliers).
• Experience conducting supplier audits and supplier development activities.
