Job summary

Virginia Food, Inc (VFI) is seeking a Supervisor, Mechanical, Plumbing, Welding & Fabrication to lead the Mechanical, Plumbing, Welding & Fabrication Section in Compostela, Cebu. The role oversees daily operations, manpower, materials, and plant resources to maintain efficient production.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing or power plants, and knowledge of GMP, SSOP, HACCP, and safety standards; strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing or power plant environment.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Food Safety, QMS, GMP, SSOP, HACCP, and Occupational Safety standards.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining accurate technical records and documentation.
• Able to lead teams, optimize resources, and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Mechanical, Plumbing, Welding & Fabrication Section.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and plant resources.
• Monitor compliance with GMP, SSOP, HACCP, and Process Control standards.
• Supervise equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Resolve technical issues affecting plant operations and equipment reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement and recommend cost-saving initiatives for plant utilities and operations.
