Nickel Asia Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a Senior Geologist to update resource block models and provide reliable resource estimates for exploration, development, production, and condemnation activities. You will lead data integration with Mine Operations and mentor junior geologists.
The role requires a licensed geologist with 5+ years of relevant experience, readiness for fieldwork in Dinapigue, Isabela, and strong MS Office/data-analysis skills.
The Senior Geologist is responsible for updating and enhancing resource block models, providing accurate resource estimates for exploration, development, production, and condemnation activities.
1. Ensures the regular updating and continuous enhancement of resource block models, incorporating process improvements as they arise. Delivers accurate, up-to-date resource estimates to support exploration, development, production, and condemnation activities.
2. Ensures drilling databases are consistently updated and meticulously sanitized. Interprets drilling data to develop strategic exploration drilling plans and assess the extent of nickel laterite deposits.
3. Works closely with the Mine Operations team to ensure integration of geological data into mining plans.
4. Ensures the seamless integration of the Integrated Management System across all geological processes, data management, and reporting. Leads the continuous development of internal geological processes while mentoring and training Junior Geologists to enhance their skills and continuity of organizational knowledge. Promotes adherence to company procedures, best practices, and safety standards.
5. Ensures all regulatory reports are prepared on time and submitted without delays.
6. Attends to all related geology activities directed by the Geology Manager, including budget preparation and identification of cost efficiency measures. Assists the Geology Manager in planning for future geological activities.
