The role focuses on managing maintenance programs, planning, and driving reliability while coordinating with a skilled team of technicians and contractors.

Responsibilities include implementing work management processes, ensuring parts and tooling readiness, and mentoring staff to uphold safety and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5 years as a superintendent in mining operations.
• Educational background in heavy equipment maintenance and asset management.
• Professional Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Manage underground mobile and fixed plant maintenance per plans and priorities.
• Coach Supervisors and technicians to ensure high quality work.
• Review maintenance plans for resource allocation and timing.
• Verify PM tasks in Pronto CMMS for accuracy.
• Ensure work completed within the scheduled timeframe.
• Perform root cause analysis for equipment failures and incidents.
• Mentor maintenance personnel and support development programs.
• Support apprentices and maintenance leadership development.

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper.Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support themine.

OceanaGold is seeking asuitably qualified, experienced, and reliableSuperintendent – Maintenance (Underground Maintenance), whoresponsible for managing the maintenance of underground mobile equipment across the operation.The position includes managing the implementation of work management processes and developing maintenance programs and projects to maximize plant availability and reliability. Ensuring the correct parts, tooling and equipment required are available and engaging and managing contractors to help deliver the expected outcomes.The role will report to the Manager-Asset Maintenance.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Manage the execution of the underground mobile and fixed plant maintenance activities based on maintenance plans and strategies,and breakdownpriorities.
• Ensure all work is executed to the highest level of quality through coaching and development with supervisors and technicians through in field work reviews and interactions
• Review maintenance plans to ensure that resource allocation and scheduled timeframes aresufficient
• Review PM Tasks/strategies in the Pronto CMMS for accuracy, detail andrelevance
• Ensure all work is completed with the approved scheduledtimeframe
• Ensure root cause analysis is completed for all equipment failures, work quality issues and operational incidents
• Mentor and develop maintenance personnel to ensure best practice operations through on the job training opportunities
• Play an active role in formal development programs for apprentices, trades people and maintenance leadershippersonnel

Qualifications

Educational Background:

• Heavy Equipment Mechanical or Auto ElectricalTrade
• Post trade studies in Engineering or Asset and Maintenance Management (preferred)

Work Experience andBackground:

• 5 years as asuperintendent
• Professional Driver’sLicense
