OceanaGold is seeking a qualified professional to lead the development and delivery of structured training, coaching, and competency assessment for operators, supervisors, and Mine Control personnel on autonomous mining systems at the Didipio site.

The role covers AutoMine system administration, troubleshooting, route development, commissioning activities, and continuous improvement to strengthen internal ownership and reduce vendor reliance, ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in underground mining operations, with autonomous or remote equipment experience.
• Knowledge of Sandvik AutoMine or similar autonomous systems.
• Strong understanding of underground production, traffic management, and risk controls.
• Experience troubleshooting operational and technical system issues.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver training and competency programs.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) is advantageous.

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper.Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support themine.

Reporting into the Mining team, you will lead the development and delivery of structured training, coaching, competency assessment, and operational support programs that enable operators, supervisors, and Mine Control personnel to confidently operate autonomous miningsystems.

You will also provide hands‑on technical and operational support across AutoMine system administration, troubleshooting, route development, commissioning activities, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping reduce reliance on external vendor support and strengthening internal ownership of autonomousoperations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver AutoMine training programs and competency assessments.
• Coach and support operators, supervisors, and Mine Control personnel in autonomous miningoperations.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and operational support for AutoMine systems and automation infrastructure.
• Assist with system administration, configuration management, permissions, and usersupport.
• Support mapping, route development, validation, and commissioning of autonomous operatingareas.
• Train personnel in autonomous loading, tramming, monitoring, start-up, shutdown, exception handling, and alarmresponse.
• Support underground production activities, including traffic management and interaction between autonomous and manualequipment.
• Contribute to automation projects, system upgrades, trials, and expansion initiatives.
• Maintain training records, procedures, competency documentation, and operational supportmaterials.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation performance, utilisation, productivity, reliability, and workforcecapability.
• Promote and reinforce safe autonomous mining practices, risk controls, and compliance with siteprocedures.

Qualifications

• 7 + years experience in underground mining operations, ideally within autonomous or remote equipment operations, Mine Control, production supervision, or operatortraining.
• Knowledge of Sandvik AutoMine or similar autonomous miningsystems.
• Strong understanding of underground production processes, equipment interaction, traffic management, and operational riskcontrols.
• Experience troubleshooting operational and technical systemissues.
• Demonstrated capability in developing and delivering training, coaching, and competency assessmentprograms.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical information into practical guidance for frontlineteams.
• A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and building sustainable sitecapability.
