Job summary

OceanaGold’s Didipio mine on Luzon Island, Philippines, is seeking Mining Operators to carry out safe underground operations using Level 1 equipment. Role reports to the Mining Supervisor and involves hazard reporting, teamwork with engineers and operators, and site preparation.

On-site accommodation and meals are provided, with travel to and from work, rice allowance, and health insurance. Candidates must have completed secondary education and a valid driver’s license; visa sponsorship is not

Job Description

The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Mining Operators to carry out safe operations in the underground mine operations and able to operate Level 1 mining equipment such as UG truck, Batch Plant, Rehandling truck and or AGI Truck. This role will report to the Mining Supervisor.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Pro-active in hazard reporting immediately report safety, environment, and productivity issues with equipment and work area to supervisor
• Communicate with supervisor, engineers and other equipment operator and personnel in work areas
• Efficient use equipment
• Operate underground equipment
• Preparation and clean-up of working areas
• Continuous improvement and learning

Qualifications

• Must Have Completed Secondary Education
• Driver’s License (Restriction 1, 2, 3, 8)
