Job summary

Inchcape Philippines is seeking a Subject Matter Expert – Record to Report to lead key R2R activities, including month-end close, journal processing, and reconciliations. The role will mentor Analysts and partner with auditors to ensure compliance and drive process improvements.

You will work in a hybrid setup at our BGC, Taguig site, bringing IFRS/GAAP expertise and strong Excel/Power BI capabilities to support finance transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Record to Report, General Ledger, Shared Services, or corporate finance environments.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is an advantage.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and proven experience managing month-end close activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex Record to Report activities – manage high-value journals, reconciliations, and provide expertise on accounting processes.
• Drive month-end close and ensure adherence to reporting deadlines and accounting standards.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching – mentor Analysts, deliver training sessions, and support team capability.

Our Finance Global Business Services is seeking a Subject Matter Expert – Record to Report to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for leading key Record to Report activities, including month-end close, journal processing, reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and compliance reporting. The role serves as an escalation point for complex accounting matters, supports process improvements, and provides guidance to Analysts while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

What you'll do

• Lead complex Record to Report activities – manage high-value or exception journals, reconciliations, and provide expertise on accounting processes and systems.
• Drive month-end close and compliance – monitor close activities, ensure adherence to reporting deadlines, and maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching – mentor Analysts, deliver training sessions, and support the Team Leader in developing team capability and performance.
• Partner with stakeholders and auditors – collaborate with cross-functional teams, support audit requirements, and ensure end-to-end accounting integrity across finance processes.
• Drive continuous improvement – analyze performance metrics, support automation initiatives, maintain process documentation, and contribute to finance transformation projects.

About you

• 3–5 years of experience in Record to Report, General Ledger, Shared Services, or corporate finance environments.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is an advantage.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and proven experience managing month-end close activities.
• Experience with ERP and reconciliation tools, preferably SAP FI-GL and BlackLine.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups); experience with Power BI, reporting, or consolidation tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex accounting concepts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to collaborate across teams.
