Job summary

SELF HELP GROUPS STUDENT CARE LIMITED is seeking a motivated Student Care Officer to deliver high-quality care and supervision in a school-based centre. Based at islandwide locations, you will support children in after-school programmes, help with homework, and run age‑appropriate activities to promote learning and wellbeing.

You will build strong relationships with families, monitor safety, and keep accurate attendance and progress records.

Qualifications

• O level or above required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with children and families.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Patience, empathy and genuine passion for child development and well-being.
• Team player who works collaboratively with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and engaging children in activities including homework help and recreational/educational projects.
• Ensuring health, safety and well-being of all children in care.

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to attendance, progress and incidents.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Student Care Officer. We have islandwide locations available and the selected individual shall be based in a school-based student care centre. The individual is required to deliver high-quality care and supervision to children in our after-school student care programme.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervising and engaging children in a range of activities, including homework assistance, recreational play, and educational projects
2. Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care
3. Communicating effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates and address any concerns
4. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the children's attendance, progress, and any incidents
5. Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement engaging and age‑appropriate activities
6. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

1. O level and above

Working hours

During normal school term: 11am to 7pm (Mon to Fri)

During school holidays: 8‑hours shift between 7.30am to 7pm (Mon to Fri)
