Job summary

WSP in Manila is seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join the Structural Team and provide CAD support to engineering projects. You will prepare structural drawings developed from basic data supplied, under supervision.

You will adhere to CAD standards and QA procedures, develop GA drawings from engineer sketches, and ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy of drawings. You will work with the project team to meet priorities and deadlines and follow document control and archiving guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any technical course or at least three years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture.
• 3-7 years of relevant structural drafting experience.
• Experience on several sized projects as CAD support within a CAD team.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and collaboration tools like ProjectWise and Blue Beam Revu.
• Proficiency in Revit, OBM, and Dynamo is an advantage.
• Preferably with experience on Australian projects.

• Perform tasks assigned by supervisors in line with experience and qualifications.

To work as part of our Structural Team to provide CAD support to engineering projects. Preparation of structural drawings developed from basic data supplied.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.


• Prepare engineering drawings from sketches and design information under supervision


• Comply with CAD Standards and Quality Systems relevant to specialisation and location and apply techniques and procedures commonly used in that practice area and specialisation.


• Develop appropriate time management skills and flexibility to allow for the management of a varying workload


• Agree on priorities and deadlines for drawing production with the Project Lead


• Develop general arrangement drawings from the engineer’s sketches and other design team member drawings or details, and develop sketches into coordinated details


• Responsible for the clarity, completeness, and accuracy of drawings and presentation materials produced.


• Adheres to prescribed drafting standard and procedures.


• Follow QA, document control, and archiving guidelines on all work


• Conscientiously works towards the group’s objectives and adheres to the company’s policy. — Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project


• Perform tasks assigned by the Principal Civil Technician / Drafting Discipline Lead / Discipline Lead / Regional Team Executive in line with his experience, discipline or qualifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any technical course or at least three (3) years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture course.


• 3 -7 years of relevant structural drafting experience


• Experience of working on several sized projects, as CAD support and as part of a wider CAD team


• Knowledgeable in any drafting software like AutoCAD, MicroStation and collaboration tools like ProjectWise, Blue Beam Revu


• Proficiency in Revit, OBM, and Dynamo is an advantage


• Preferably with experience on Australian projects
