Job summary

WSP in Manila is seeking a skilled civil drafting professional to support our project teams on landmark infrastructure assignments. You will translate engineers’ sketches into coordinated drawings and ensure clarity, completeness and accuracy of every presentation material.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of civil drafting experience.
• Experience on several sized projects as CAD support.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise; Civil 3D is an advantage.
• Preferably familiar with Australian projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist project setup by agreeing drawing strategy, type and size of drawings and numbering with project lead.
• Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production with Project Lead.
• Develop general arrangement drawings from engineers’ sketches and other design team drawings.
• Ensure clarity, completeness and accuracy of drawings and presentation materials.
• Adhere to drafting standards, QA, document control and archiving guidelines.
• Collaborate with project team members on designated aspects of the project.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Principal Civil Technician and other leads as appropriate.

What you’ll do:

• Assist project set up by agreeing drawing strategy, type and size of drawings and drawing numbering with project lead, and suggesting methods of drawing production to ensure efficient methods of working
• Agree priorities and deadlines for drawing production with Project Lead
• Develop general arrangement drawings from engineer’s sketches and other design team member drawings and details and develop sketches into co‑ordinated details
• Responsible for the clarity, completeness and accuracy of drawings and presentation materials produced.
• Adheres to prescribed drafting standard and procedures.
• Follow QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work
• Conscientiously works towards the group’s objectives and adheres to the company’s policy.
• Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project
• Perform tasks assigned by the Principal Civil Technician / Drafting Discipline Lead / Discipline Lead / Transport Manila Operations Manager / Regional Team Executive in line with his experience, discipline or qualifications.

What we will love about you:

• Graduate of any technical course or at least three (3) years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture course.
• 3 -7 years of relevant civil drafting experience
• Experience of working on several sized projects, as CAD support and as part of a wider CAD team — Knowledgeable in any drafting software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise
• Proficiency in Civil 3D an advantage
• Preferably with experience on Australian projects
