Job summary

WSP in Ortigas Center, Pasig invites applications for a full-time Structural Draftsman. You will transform sketches into coordinated design details and ensure accuracy across drawings and materials, while adhering to QA and drafting standards.

You will work with a global team, using Revit/CAD and related tools to deliver project drawings on time. Strong communication and collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any technical course or at least three (3) years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture.
• 3–7 years of relevant structural drafting experience.
• Willing to work full-time in Ortigas Center, Pasig.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience on several sized projects as CAD support and part of a CAD team.
• Proficient with drafting/modelling software: Revit, CAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ProjectWise, AEC cloud tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist project setup by agreeing drawing strategy, type and size of drawings, and numbering with the project lead.
• Identify and recommend effective drawing production methods for efficiency.
• Coordinate with Project Lead to set priorities and deadlines.
• Develop general arrangement drawings from engineer sketches and inputs.
• Ensure clarity, completeness, and accuracy of drawings and materials.
• Apply drafting standards and procedures in all activities.
• Adhere to QA, document control, and archiving guidelines.
• Collaborate with project team on designated activities.
• Perform tasks as directed by Principal Structural Technician or CAD Lead.

Job description

What you’ll do

• Assist project setup by agreeing drawing strategy, type and size of drawings, and drawing numbering with the project lead
• Identify and recommend effective methods of drawing production to ensure efficient methods of working
• Coordinate with the Project Lead to establish priorities and agree on drawing production deadlines
• Develop general arrangement drawings based on engineer’s sketches and inputs from other design team members, transforming conceptual sketches into coordinated design details
• Responsible for the clarity, completeness, presentation, and accuracy of drawings and materials produced
• Apply prescribed drafting standards and procedures in all drawing production activities
• Adhere to QA, document control, and archiving guidelines on all work
• Conscientiously work towards the team’s objectives and adhere to the company’s policy
• Work collaboratively with project team members on designated project activities
• Perform tasks assigned by the Principal Structural Technician or Drafting CAD Lead / Bridges Discipline Lead / Transport GCC Head in line with their experience, discipline, and/or qualifications

  • Bently (Microstation) is an advantage
• Proficient in using ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and/or 12D Synergy
• Preferably with experience on Australian and/or New Zealand Projects
• Prepares engineering drawings from sketches and design information with some assistance
• General awareness of industry products and their integration with the BIM/DE process
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently on global network computers using current software applications
• Self‑starter and stays flexible when priorities quickly change
• Strong team worker, with an enthusiastic, can‑do approach, and the ability to collaborate and work effectively as ‘one team’
