I. JOB SUMMARY
Provides structural/civil engineering expertise and performs Engineering Design processes in order to provide renewable energy (RE) solutions for industrial, commercial, and residential customers; translates strategic directions into operational tactics and programs / initiatives aligned with and fully supportive of the Company’s thrusts and objectives in the following key functional areas:
- Engineering design
- Standards development and maintenance
II. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
ENGINEERING DESIGN
- Plans and designs RE solutions to support client requirements and/or new business opportunities (based on expertise areas: Civil/structural)
- Conducts site surveys, gather customer requirements and prepares project plan for the design proposal
- Prepares detailed scope of work, BOQ/materials estimates, item/work specifications and other technical documents such as permits, licenses, safety requirements and others to support project implementation
- Collaborates with various stakeholders on the final solutions design, project plans, proposals and budget
- Creates and finalizes civil / structural design based on simulations and client / account officer inputs
- Evaluates final design versus post implementation results
- Ensures that all design/ technical related specifications are accurate and included in the appropriate contracts and service level agreements
STANDARDS DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE
- Develops and maintains civil / structural design standards, product portfolio templates, work scope and reference materials
- Develops and maintains engineering-related processes, tools, systems, activities and design costings
- Develops and maintains knowledge database and intellectual property rights and security
III. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Operational planning
- Project/client civil/structural and allied engineering requirements analysis
- Detailed civil/structural engineering design (and related discipline) and solutions development
- Research and development on engineering design methodologies, new RE technologies, software, design tools and best practices drawings
- Outsourcing services, contract monitoring and management of third party service provider
- Understanding and application of various basic rules, standards and codes and including regulations (e.g. Civil and structural code, UL, IEC, Safety, DPWH and building code requirements, DENR, DOE/ERC/DOLE/OSHA rules etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of industry and vendor materials and equipment specifications, standards and performance assessment

IV. QUALIFICATIONS (i.e. Education, Licenses, Certificates, Skills, Relevant experience)
- Graduate of BS Civil Engineering
- Registered Civil engineer
- Minimum of 2 years of civil/structural engineering practice
- Professional driver’s license holder
