Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking an Associate to join a client service team and own a workstream that tackles challenging client problems. You will combine research, data analysis, interviews, and brainstorming to uncover root challenges and craft actionable plans that drive meaningful change.

You will collaborate directly with clients and McKinsey colleagues, bringing judgment and integrity to ensure recommendations are effective and enduring.

Qualifications

• Advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
• Strong organization and task ownership in a client-service setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and local language(s).
• Proficient in data-driven decision making using facts and logic.
• Ability to produce work-product outputs like PowerPoint decks and Excel models.

Responsibilities

• Lead a client service workstream and own the deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients and McKinsey colleagues to generate insights.
• Use research, data, interviews, and brainstorming to create actionable plans.
• Help clients refine strategies and implement transformations.
• Contribute to long-term impact and knowledge transfer after engagement.
