Job summary

The Private Advertiser seeks a Tax Manager to oversee all aspects of the company’s tax compliance, planning, and risk management, ensuring adherence to national and local tax laws. You will advise on tax implications of business decisions, lead tax audits, and minimize tax exposure while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role requires a CPA with a minimum of 5 years in corporate taxation, strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, and proficiency in tax software and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant.
• Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in corporate taxation.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR processes, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in resolving complex tax issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealing with auditors and government agencies.
• Proficient in tax software and ERP systems.
• High integrity and sound judgment in handling sensitive financial information.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation, review, and timely filing of all tax returns, including VAT, withholding, income, and other applicable taxes.
• Ensure accurate computation and remittance of tax liabilities in compliance with BIR regulations.
• Stay updated on new tax laws, rulings, and guidelines, and assess their impact on company operations.
• Coordinate and represent the company during tax audits, BIR inquiries, and external examinations.
• Provide tax advisory and planning support for business transactions, contracts, and special projects.
• Maintain organized and updated tax records and documentation for audit and internal control purposes.
• Develop and implement internal policies and controls to strengthen tax compliance and mitigate risks.
• Support management in identifying tax-saving opportunities within legal parameters.
• Train and guide accounting staff on tax regulations, compliance procedures, and reporting standards.
