Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a tax compliance professional to handle core tax duties in a dynamic business environment in the Philippines. You will prepare computations and file returns with the BIR, coordinating with Treasury for timely settlements and assisting with local tax requirements and LGU permits.

The role supports tax audits, validates findings, and drafts protest letters while tracking regulatory updates. A logistics background is advantageous for this position.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of work experience in a tax-related role that handles tax compliance and tax audit management responsibilities.
• Experience in the logistics industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepares tax computations using the prescribed working papers.
• Files tax returns with and submits applicable attachments to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
• Coordinates with Treasury Team for the timely settlement of tax payables.
• Assists in the processing of requirements for local business tax and real property tax due to the concerned LGU.
• Prepares documentary requirements for necessary applications for lodging with the BIR and/or concerned LGU to secure permits, tax clearance and other certificates.
• Prepares for potential tax audits through performing books vs. return reconciliation procedures as well as retrieval and vouching of source documents, among others.
• Coordinates with concerned teams to collate the documents requested by the tax authorities and to evaluate risks associated with such documents.
• Validates tax findings raised by the tax authorities, identifies possible factual and/or legal defenses, and quantifies potential tax findings.
• Drafts transmittal and/or protest-letters for submission to tax authorities.
