The role demands CPA credentials, 10+ years in tax accounting, and experience navigating tariff and trade issues in consumer goods or e‑commerce sectors.

The position partners with internal teams to ensure accurate tax reporting, effective nexus management, and rigorous documentation across all jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field; CPA required
• 10+ years of relevant tax accounting experience at a large company or combination of public accounting and industry
• Deep ASC 740 income tax provision and multi-state tax compliance expertise
• Strong sales/use tax knowledge across US states and nexus management
• Experience with tariffs and trade compliance in consumer goods/e‑commerce
• Big 4 audit exposure and ability to act as sole internal tax resource
• GAAP/IRC knowledge in consumer goods, DTC, or subscription business
• Advanced Excel proficiency and independent, precise work style
• Effective cross‑functional communication

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain ASC 740 tax provision calculations and supporting workpapers
• Oversee federal and multi‑state corporate income tax returns prepared by external firm
• Manage state nexus compliance documentation and filings across jurisdictions
• Maintain sales tax compliance program across all states and coordinate with tax tech
• Document tax positions, procedures, and payment schedules
• Support audit engagements and related tax documentation for external auditors
• Respond to auditor inquiries and document tax positions with support
