Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Tax Compliance Manager to oversee federal, state, and local income tax matters, including compliance, planning, and research. The role will support audits and respond to notices while monitoring tax law changes and implementing tax strategies.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor in Accounting with a Master of Taxation preferred and 5+ years of public accounting or corporate tax experience. CPA preferred; role can be remote, in-office, or hybrid.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting or large corporate tax experience
• Experience with corporate and partnership income tax compliance across multiple states
• Ability to balance multiple projects and supervise others
• Experience with IRS and state audits and tax notices

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and review of partnership returns and workpapers across multiple states
• Assist in preparation and review of corporate federal and state returns and workpapers across multiple states
• Assist in preparation and review of state unitary filings
• Upload book fixed asset activity and reconcile to tax reports for annual tax return compliance
• Calculate and document tax adjustments for tax compliance/provision support
• Respond to federal and state tax notices and assist with audits
• Monitor tax law changes and assist with implementation of tax strategies
• Handle special projects as assigned
