Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree holder, preferably in any BS Engineering course.
• Strong planning and organizational skills with good attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Computer proficient, with working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Junior Planner/Buyer or in materials planning and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement by evaluating supplier quotations, negotiating competitive terms, and securing cost-effective materials and services.
• Build and manage supplier relationships by validating vendor documents, supporting accreditation, and coordinating required Quality Management approvals.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels by setting safety stocks, reorder points, and validating requisitions to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials, tools, equipment, and services for both planned and unplanned maintenance requirements.
• Ensure complete documentation and certifications are available and compliant before purchasing materials and services.
• Manage requisitions through TRAX and GMAT, assisting end-users and ensuring requests meet the required specifications and supporting documents.
• Analyze spending and inventory turnover to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and stronger inventory controls.
• Monitor orders, invoices, and payment concerns, resolving issues and following up to ensure timely delivery and payment processing.
• Conduct market research and stay updated on emerging procurement practices, materials management tools, technologies, and supplier opportunities.
• Champion safety and compliance by managing risks, supporting incident investigations, and ensuring safety and health requirements are followed.
