Job summary

Sun Life Financial is seeking an Operations Project Manager to oversee the strategic execution of initiatives across the operations landscape, driving governance, visibility and value delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop detailed project plans and dashboards, manage risks, and report progress to executives while partnering with WFM, QA, Training, technology and other support functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of project and portfolio management experience
• Experience tracking and reporting operations metrics
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, Asana) and MS Office Suite
• PMP, Prince2, or Agile/Scrum certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, prioritization and governance of operations projects aligned to strategic goals
• Maintain enterprise portfolio roadmap and align with capacity and resources
• Develop detailed project plans, charters, status reports, and risk mitigation strategies
• Drive end-to-end delivery of cross-functional projects within scope, timeline and budget
• Develop dashboards and reports for initiative health, benefits realization and delivery risks
• Partner with operations leaders, enabling teams, technology and support functions to ensure success
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency
• Track and report on benefits realization across initiatives
