Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Load Planner or in a similar logistics coordination role.
• Strong knowledge of load optimisation techniques and vehicle capacity management.
• Proficiency with load planning software and logistics management systems.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address logistics challenges efficiently.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in shipment planning and documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety compliance standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule load assignments to maximise vehicle utilisation and minimise transportation costs.
• Coordinate with warehouse, dispatch, and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely shipments.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve any delays or issues that may arise during transit.
• Optimise routing and consolidate loads to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
• Maintain accurate records of load plans, shipments, and related documentation.
• Analyse freight data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement in logistics operations.
• Communicate with drivers and logistics partners to ensure compliance with load specifications and safety standards.
• Prepare reports on load performance, vehicle utilisation rates, and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies that enhance supply chain efficiency.
