Corning Inc. seeks an IT GSM Sourcing Contractor to lead IT spend category sourcing end-to-end, partnering with business, technology and finance stakeholders to define requirements and commercial strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5+ years of IT sourcing experience and category management.
• Experience managing sourcing events and negotiations across IT categories.
• Experience with IT contracts, SaaS/cloud models, SLAs and governance.
• Familiarity with Ariba/PeopleSoft/PowerBI and supplier governance.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Temporary 6 month contract.
• Exposure to software licensing, cloud consumption models, telecom agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives for IT spend categories across software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, infra, telecom, cybersecurity and services.
• Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, sourcing approaches, demand plans, and commercial strategies.
• Develop and execute RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and award recommendations.
• Conduct spend analysis, market research, and total cost of ownership evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, SLAs, renewals, and protections with legal and business stakeholders.
• Manage supplier selection, performance discussions, and governance throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive contract review support, redlines, risk identification, and negotiation tracking.
• Ensure projects meet timelines and procurement policy and risk controls.
• Build strong supplier relationships across global teams and report savings and risks.
