Job summary

NCS Philippines is seeking an IT Business Analyst (Mid Level) to bridge business requirements and technology solutions in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila. This full-time role involves analyzing processes, translating needs into specs, and supporting system design and testing.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of BA experience in IT, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with BA tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps. Collaboration across teams and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
3 to 6 years of experience in a business analyst role within IT or systems environments.
Strong ability to gather, document, and analyse business requirements from diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, such as process mapping, data flow diagrams, and use case modelling.
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile frameworks.
Experience with software testing methodologies and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with business analysis software (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools) is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Certification in business analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or related certifications is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

Elicit, document, and analyse business requirements from stakeholders and clients to understand their needs and objectives.
Conduct thorough process mapping and workflow analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
Create and maintain detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications, and user stories.
Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into system design specifications and technical solutions.
Perform gap analysis between current and desired business processes, recommending appropriate system solutions.
Conduct system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, documenting defects and working with development teams to resolve issues.
Provide training and support to end users on new systems and processes.
Monitor system performance and user feedback, recommending enhancements and optimisations.
Participate in project meetings and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Support the management of change initiatives and communicate changes to affected parties.
