Job summary

WalterMart Supermarket, Incorporated is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources Team in the Philippines. This full-time role acts as a trusted advisor to business leaders, delivering strategic HR support to align people practices with corporate goals and improve employee experience.

The position requires 5–7 years in a strategic HR role, strong knowledge of HR management, and ability to travel frequently between store locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or any related field
• 5-7 years experience in a strategic HR role, ideally within a fast-paced environment (retail, supermarket, FMCG or food operations)
• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar consultative HR role, demonstrating impact on business performance
• Strong knowledge of human resources management practices, including talent management, employee relations, performance management and organizational development
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior managers and business leaders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex HR issues into clear, actionable solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in change management and driving organizational initiatives is highly desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems or people analytics tools would be advantageous
• Deep knowledge of Philippine Labor Code, excellent conflict resolution skills, and the ability to travel frequently between assigned store locations

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and managers to understand their strategic objectives and translate these into effective people strategies and initiatives
• Provide strategic human resources advice and support on talent management, organizational development, employee relations and performance management matters
• Support the design, implementation and evaluation of HR policies, programs and initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational effectiveness
• Lead and facilitate change management initiatives, supporting managers and employees through periods of organizational transition
• Contribute to talent planning, succession planning and workforce development strategies to ensure the organization has the capabilities required for future success
• Monitor and analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement, providing insights and recommendations to leadership
• Support employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management and disciplinary processes, ensuring consistency with policies and best practices
• Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure coherent and integrated delivery of HR services across the organization
• Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity in all HR matters, upholding the highest professional and ethical standards
