Prime Energy is seeking an experienced growth and new ventures analyst to independently evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities. You will build robust financial models, translate market and technical inputs into economic outcomes, and prepare preliminary business cases with recommendations for senior leadership.

The role emphasizes strong financial acumen, rigorous analysis, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related quantitative field.
• Typically 5–8 years of relevant experience in business development, corporate development, investment banking, strategy or related fields.
• Strong financial acumen and advanced financial modelling capability.
• Experience in evaluating opportunities and presenting financial analyses to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate assigned opportunities through rigorous financial and business analysis.
• Develop financial models as the analytical foundation for business cases and investment decisions.
• Translate market, commercial, technical and operational assumptions into economics, returns and value implications.
• Develop preliminary business cases and recommendations for new growth opportunities.
• Identify and test key value drivers, risks and uncertainties influencing investment appeal.
• Conduct market, competitor and transaction analyses to substantiate financial assumptions.
• Evaluate alternative development and transaction scenarios on a consistent financial basis.
• Support due diligence and development of transaction structures with appropriate financial analysis.
