Job summary

Vivant Energy Corporation is seeking a Finance Analyst to develop, maintain and analyze complex financial models for investment opportunities, projects and strategic initiatives. You’ll collaborate with managers to deliver decision‑useful analysis from screening through COD and beyond.

The role requires 2–5 years in financial modeling or related fields, strong Excel and valuation skills, and familiarity with project finance and energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related discipline.
• Typically 2–5 years in financial modeling, investment analysis, corporate finance, project finance, transaction advisory or related fields.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and financial-analysis skills.
• Understanding of financial statements and investment valuation; project finance and energy/infrastructure experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain project and investment financial models covering revenue, capex, opex, financing, taxes, working capital, cash flow and returns
• Calculate and analyze NPV, IRR, ROIC, payback, DSCR and other investment metrics; prepare scenario, sensitivity and downside analyses
• Gather, organize and validate financial, operational, commercial and market data; document assumptions, sources and model changes
• Perform formula, calculation, link, assumption and output checks and apply approved modeling and documentation standards
• Support evaluation of projects, acquisitions, JVs and strategic investments; analyze value drivers, risks, sensitivities and alternative structures
• Update models through development, NTP, execution and COD; quantify material changes in capex, schedule, financing and commercial assumptions and elevate issues
• Prepare financial schedules, charts and analyses for management presentations, investment papers and negotiations
• Improve standardized models and tools, automate repetitive work where appropriate, and maintain the centralized model/template library
