Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Procurement Sourcing Specialist to support global sourcing within the indirect spend categories. This role maintains relationships with vendors through end‑to‑end procurement and supports Category Managers in line with the Buy Better strategy.

Minimum 3 years in Procurement/Supply Chain is expected. A Bachelor’s degree and strong MS Excel skills are required, with familiarity in NA contracts and risk collaboration for compliant deals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain.
• Experience in sourcing, negotiation and contracting processes.
• Familiarity with e-Sourcing tools and strategies to maximize savings.
• Knowledge of North American contracts incl. main clauses, SOWs and Exhibits.
• Proficient with Risk, Legal, Finance and Tax interactions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to work night shift.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or lead sourcing initiatives within aggressive timelines while maintaining bidding integrity.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with third‑party vendors.
• Conduct negotiations to drive savings and meet business requirements.
• Ensure projects comply with internal procurement policies.
• Manage mailbox and documentation; communicate updates with partners.
• Analyze spend and contract terms in detail.
• Drive and champion procurement strategies for each sourcing event.
• Coordinate with Risk, Legal, Finance and Tax for contractual compliance.
• Collaborate with Category Managers to align with category strategies.
