Job summary

Our Clients is seeking a Director of Construction & Project Development in Makati City to provide strategic and operational leadership across the company’s construction and project development portfolio. The role oversees planning, design, construction, completion, and turnover to ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
Licensed Engineer highly preferred.
15 years of progressive experience in construction and project management, including senior leadership.
Experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Strong background in property development, commercial development, condominium, mixed-use, or large-scale developments.
Strong technical knowledge of construction management, design coordination, quantity surveying, cost control, contracts, and project delivery.
Extensive experience in contractor, consultant, and vendor management.
Strong understanding of project budgets, cost estimates, contracts, procurement, and commercial aspects of construction.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with senior executives, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end construction and project development lifecycle from planning to turnover.
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously for timely and cost-efficient delivery.
Provide strategic direction on methodologies, planning, design development, and execution.
Review designs, quantities, cost estimates, contracts, and variation orders.
Lead contractor, consultant, supplier, and partner management and performance evaluation.
Oversee budgets, schedules, risks, milestones, quality, and overall performance.
Establish contractor and vendor management strategies for quality and timeliness.
Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
Present project status, financials, risks, and decisions to executives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and policies.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and delivery.
Lead, mentor, and develop the construction and project management team.
