Job summary

Our Clients seeks an AVP/VP of Construction & Project Development in Makati City, Philippines, onsite, to provide strategic and operational leadership across the company’s construction and project development portfolio.

The role oversees planning, design, construction, completion, and turnover with focus on large-scale property development, project execution, design coordination, quantity surveying, contractor management, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Licensed Engineer is highly preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in construction and project management, including senior leadership.
• Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end construction and project development lifecycle from planning and design through completion and turnover.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Provide strategic direction on construction methodologies, project planning, design development, and execution.
• Review and oversee project designs, specifications, quantity surveying, cost estimates, contracts, and variation orders.
• Lead the selection, negotiation, management, and performance evaluation of contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other project partners.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, risks, milestones, quality standards, and overall project performance.
• Establish effective contractor and vendor management strategies to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
• Work closely with senior management, project teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve complex project issues.
• Present project status, financial performance, risks, recommendations, and key decisions to senior management and executive stakeholders.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable regulatory requirements, engineering standards, safety requirements, and company policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve construction processes, project efficiency, cost management, and overall project delivery.Lead, mentor, and develop the construction and project management team.
