Job summary

Cobden and Carter International Inc. is seeking a Business Unit Controller to oversee financial and control functions aligned with growth strategies. The role focuses on risk management, compliance with regulations, and safeguarding company assets.

Key duties include strategic budgeting, performance analysis, cash management, GL integrity, and internal controls. Strong English/Filipino communication and 5+ years in finance are required; onsite in Libis, QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, CPA preferred or licensed
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high accuracy
• Able to interpret financial data and provide recommendations
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and drive results
• Proficient with technology and finance issues
• Good judgment and decision-making skills
• Assertive with ability to implement internal controls
• Confident in challenging decisions that serve the company
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Filipino

Responsibilities

• Strategic management: contribute to annual plan/budget; provide financial analysis and modeling
• Performance reporting: consolidate data and present results; identify corrective actions
• Control: ensure compliance with GAAP and government regulations; safeguard assets
• Cash management: oversee cash, investments, banking relations and currency risks
• General ledger: ensure integrity of the GL across systems and accurate reporting
• Operational audit: perform compliance checks and improve controls
• Quality improvement: streamline processes and reduce bottlenecks
• People management: hire, train, motivate and assess staff
• Other duties as assigned by Finance Director to support Stores and HQ departments
