Job summary

Tom's World Philippines Corporation is seeking a Store Accounting Assistant to join our finance team at SM City Cebu. This full-time role offers a path to develop your accounting career in a dynamic retail environment.

The candidate should possess a BS Accountancy, Financial Management or related degree, with knowledge of basic accounting principles, strong analytical and organizational skills, and high attention to detail in data entry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or business-related field.

• Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and numerical work.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile daily cash transactions and point-of-sale records to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain store accounting records and financial documentation.
• Support the monthly store reconciliation process and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare store financial reports and analyze variances from budgeted figures.
• Assist with inventory valuation, stock counts and related accounting adjustments.
• Support audit activities and ensure documents are organized and filed; perform other duties as assigned by Finance.

About the role

Tom's World Philippines Corporation is seeking a Store Accounting Assistant to join our growing finance team in SM City Cebu, Cebu. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting career within a dynamic retail environment.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and reconciling daily cash transactions and point-of-sale records to ensure accuracy
• Preparing and maintaining store accounting records and financial documentation
• Supporting the monthly store reconciliation process and identifying discrepancies for investigation
• Preparing store financial reports and analyzing variances between actual and budgeted figures
• Assisting with inventory valuation, stock takes and related accounting adjustments
• Supporting audit activities and ensuring all financial documentation is properly organized and filedPerforming other accounting duties as assigned by the Finance Department

What we're looking for

• Graduate of BS Accountancy, Financial Management or any business-related courses.
• With knowledge in basic accounting principles.
• Good analytical sand organizational skills.
• Experience in Store Accounting Operations is an advantage but not required.
• Open for non-accountants and/or with NClll Certification.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in data entry and numerical work
