Job summary

LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. is seeking a Production Planner to optimize production schedules and resource allocation in a dynamic steel manufacturing environment in Metro Manila.

This full-time role connects demand forecasting, inventory management, and shop-floor execution to drive productivity and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has proven production planning experience in heavy manufacturing, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with ERP and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production Planner or similar in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of demand forecasting, inventory management and capacity planning.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and production scheduling software.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment capabilities, and constraints.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail in data management and reporting.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Certification in production planning or supply chain would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules that align with customer demand, sales forecasts, and available manufacturing capacity.
• Analyze production requirements and coordinate with sales, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and material availability to prevent production delays and optimize stock levels.
• Prepare detailed production plans that account for equipment capabilities, labor availability, and lead times.
• Track production progress against schedules and identify bottlenecks or constraints that may impact delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with operations and quality teams to ensure production plans meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Generate production forecasts and reports for management, providing insights into capacity utilization and performance metrics.
• Manage changes to production schedules in response to urgent orders, equipment breakdowns, or supply chain disruptions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency and reduce production lead times.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and manage procurement timelines effectively.
