Job summary

Sureste Properties Inc. is seeking a capable Accountant to manage month-end close, prepare financial reports, and ensure accurate P&L reconciliation. The role requires attention to detail and strong analytical skills to support financial planning and reporting processes.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of related experience; CPA is highly preferred. You will coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with BIR, PEZA, and SEC regulations during audits and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduated with BS in Accountancy.
• CPA highly preferred.
• Knowledge of financial and statutory accounting principles.
• Ability to comprehend complex financial information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with accounting systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare adjusting journal entries during month-end close.
• Prepare timely financial reports and divisional analysis.
• Review and reconcile profit and loss accounts.
• Coordinate with departments for accurate financial reporting.
• Compute tax dues and prepare BIR returns (1601E, 1601F, VAT, Income Tax, Percentage Taxes, etc.).
• Prepare attachments to BIR returns (alphalists, listing reinforcements).
• Adhere to BIR, PEZA, and SEC statutory requirements.
• Stay updated with BIR issuances; involvement in BIR tax audit procedures is preferred.
• Assist in preparing audited financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
