Job summary

TE Connectivity Manufacturing Philippines, Incorporated is seeking a capable Production Operations Manager to oversee the stamping department, drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets, and lead lean-improvement efforts. The role demands strong leadership, process knowledge, and collaboration across Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Planning teams.

You will manage daily operations, plan resources, chair reviews, and push for efficiency gains through OEE and VSM projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of stamping industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of manufacturing experience; related engineering major preferred.
• Strong knowledge of stamping processes, quality management, and equipment management.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools (TEOA) and continuous improvement.

Job description

Manage the overall operations of the Stamping Department to ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people-development objectives. Drive TEOA lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), thereby supporting business growth and the company's strategic objectives

PRODUCTION OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Stamping Department to ensure production plans are achieved and customer delivery requirements are met.

• Plan and allocate production resources, monitor production progress, and promptly coordinate the resolution of operational issues.

• Chair departmental GO Meetings, production meetings, and operational reviews, and track performance against targets.

• Monitor production data and operating metrics, driving problem resolution and implementation of improvement actions.

• Review and approve production-related documents, forms, work instructions, and processes.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

• Take ownership of departmental quality performance and continuously reduce scrap rates and cost of poor quality (COPQ).

• Drive process-quality improvements to prevent and reduce customer complaints and internal quality issues.

• Lead analysis of quality issues and implementation of corrective and improvement actions.

• Support customer audits, management-system audits, and management reviews.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

• Drive continuous-improvement projects involving OEE, QCO, VSM, automation, and related initiatives.

• Apply TEOA（Continuous Improvement or Lean Improvement） tools to continuously improve production efficiency and resource utilization.

• Promote digital management and visual management systems and regularly track improvement-project progress.

• Oversee key departmental improvement projects and coordinate the required resources.

• Establish and advance initiatives for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and waste elimination.

COST MANAGEMENT

• Lead departmental budgeting and expense control.

• Continuously drive cost-improvement projects to achieve annual cost-saving targets.

• Optimize the utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.

• Monitor departmental operating costs and return on investment.

• STRATEGIC PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT REPORTING

• Develop annual departmental business objectives and action plans.

• Cascade KPI targets throughout the organization and drive achievement at all levels.

• Report departmental operating performance and improvement progress to management on a regular basis.

• Participate in plant strategic planning and business-development projects.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and other functions.

• Support new-product introduction and capacity-planning projects.

• Coordinate cross-functional resources to resolve major operational issues.

• Drive improvement in overall plant operating performance.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in the stamping industry preferred.

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of manufacturing experience; a major in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of stamping processes, quality management, and equipment management.

• Familiarity with TEOA or lean manufacturing tools.
