You will drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product management to deliver scalable, high-performance software that modernizes legacy systems while preserving functionality and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial software development experience with JVM languages (Java, Spring) and strong Python experience.
• 2+ years leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Solid experience in software architecture and development.
• Familiarity with evaluation frameworks (DeepEval, Ragas, Promptfoo) and LLM evaluation methodologies.
• Experience in database modernization, change data capture, and state comparison across implementations.
• Hands-on with relational and document databases (Postgres/MySQL, MongoDB).
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Drive the architectural vision and long-term technical roadmap for the Validation and Eval product suite, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define features and translate requirements into robust technical designs.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex, mission-critical components of our Validation and Eval tools.
• Champion and enforce engineering best practices through design and code reviews.
• Act as a hands-on leader, contributing to the codebase where necessary.
