Job summary

Nephro Specialist is seeking a nursing professional to monitor and assess dialysis patients, including vital signs, fistula patency, and order transcription. The role involves educating patients on dialysis regimens and medications, answering questions, and providing emotional support to patients and families.

The nurse will attend to assigned patients with direct responsibility, ensuring high-quality care and patient comfort within the dialysis unit.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be able to observe and assess patients undergoing dialysis.
• Demonstrates clear communication with patients regarding treatment and medications.
• Able to provide emotional support to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient’s observation and assessment including but not limited to Weight monitoring, General Appearance, Monitoring and evaluation of blood pressure, Patency of fistula, shunt, Transcription of orders, and bovine graft, etc.
• Attend to assigned dialysis patients for whom the nurse is directly responsible for.
• Educate patients on the importance of complying to their prescribed dialysis treatment and medication.
• Answers questions to the best of his/her ability and refers other questions to the appropriate sources (ANCC / NCC / POD / AO).
• Should be a source of emotional support to patients and families
