Job summary

Nephro Specialist in the Philippines is seeking a dialysis support assistant to observe and assist patients during treatment. You will weigh patients, monitor vital signs, and report irregularities to the nursing team, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the process.

Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, you will handle light clerical tasks and maintain patient charts, while developing a practical understanding of dialysis machines.

Responsibilities

• Receives patient into the treatment area.
• Weighs patient and records the weight.
• Monitors vital signs every 30 minutes.
• Reports any irregularities of vital signs to the nurse on duty.
• Assists patient needs during treatment.
• Performs direct pressure post-dialysis on the access.
• Handles clerical duties such as filing, answering phones, inventory, and chart maintenance.
• Maintains a basic understanding of dialysis machines.
• Other tasks as assigned under supervision of a registered nurse.
• All duties performed under direct supervision of a registered nurse.

Job description

• Responsible for patient's observation and assessment such as:

1. Receives patient into treatment area.
2. Weighs patient and record.
3. Assist in monitoring of vital signs every 30 minutes.
4. Report to the nurses on duty any irregularities of vital signs.
5. Assist patient needs.
6. Performs direct pressure post-dialysis to the access of the patient.
7. Performs clerical duties as needed which may include: assist in filing, answering phones, assist in inventory of supplies at the treatment area, photocopy of documents, assist in maintaining patient charts (includes thinning).

• Should have a functional Understanding of dialysis machines.
• Performs other tasks and responsibilities as assigned in relation to the position.
