Job summary

WD is seeking a Staff Engineer for Analytical and Characterization Engineering (Chemical and Material Characterization) in Binan City, Laguna. The role focuses on ensuring metrology capabilities, performing advanced data analytics, and operating characterization tools with automated processes.

The candidate will mentor technicians, generate reports, and coordinate with multiple departments to meet strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in Physical/Materials Laboratory.
• Industry exposure in Electronics or Semiconductor manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Master’s degree is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks to ensure metrology and characterization deliverables are achieved, including data analytics and advanced tool operation.
• Develop methods and automate characterization processes to sustain capabilities.
• Train and mentor technicians and operators.
• Generate technical and executive reports; review and approve Technician outputs.
• Set objectives and plans; coach and mentor technicians to achieve deliverables.
• Communicate with higher management and executives when necessary.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to support site objectives.
