Job summary
Western Digital Corporation in Binan, Laguna, Philippines, is seeking a Senior Engineer, Analytical and Characterization Engineering (Licensed Chemist). You will lead chemical/physical characterization, data analytics, and failure analysis to support manufacturing and R&D.
On-site, dayshift, with opportunities to mentor technicians and drive process improvements. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Chemistry/Engineering/Materials Science, 3+ years lab experience, and licensed chemist
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
- Minimum 3 years in chemical/physical/material laboratory.
- Electronics/semiconductor manufacturing exposure preferred.
- Master's degree is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate and apply chemical/physical characterization tools and automation.
- Develop methods to sustain required characterization capabilities.
- Generate technical and executive reports; review technician reports.
- Coach and mentor technicians; align with department and site goals.
- Communicate with management and cross-functional teams on findings.
- Identify and solve problems with analytical expertise.
- Plan resources to run the process and support policies.
