Job summary

Emerson in Mandaluyong City, Philippines, is seeking an Application Developer to build enterprise-grade product and asset management platforms. You will work on MyAssets, FDDH, and documentation APIs with Python FastAPI and React, under a Senior Developer’s guidance.

You will contribute to backend services, front-end interfaces, PostgreSQL queries, and third-party API integrations, while following SDLC and CI/CD practices in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s deg in Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of software development with Python and React in a professional setting.
• Proficiency building REST APIs with FastAPI (Pydantic models, endpoints).
• Solid React experience (JS, ES6+, state management, REST API integration).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL, queries and data operations.
• Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python FastAPI backend services and REST APIs for MyAssets, FDDH, and docs platforms.
• Develop and maintain React front-end components and integrate with backend services.
• Write and optimize PostgreSQL queries; support schema updates and data migrations.
• Assist with REST API integrations to third-party documentation platforms via APIs.
• Apply SDLC practices; develop, test, and support production releases.
• Debug across FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and React layers and escalate complex issues.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews and documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and Systems Analysts to meet requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
