Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Application Developer to build enterprise-grade product and asset management platforms. You will contribute to Python FastAPI backend services, React front-end interfaces, and REST API integrations within Emerson's global product information ecosystem.

You will work with a Senior Developer on MyAssets, FDDH, and documentation APIs, applying SDLC practices, writing clean code, and collaborating across Product Owners, QA, and System Analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of software development experience with hands-on Python and React.
• Proficiency building REST APIs with FastAPI: endpoints, Pydantic models, async patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python FastAPI backend services and REST APIs for MyAssets, FDDH, and documentation platforms.
• Develop and maintain React front-end components with state management and UI integration.
• Write and optimize PostgreSQL queries, support schema updates, and assist data migrations.
• Assist with REST API integrations to third-party documentation platforms (Zoomin et al.).
• Apply SDLC practices across feature delivery, testing, and production releases.
