Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Application Developer to grow with enterprise-grade asset management platforms. You will contribute to Python FastAPI backend services, React front-end interfaces, and REST API integrations across MyAssets, FDDH, and documentation ecosystems.

You will work under a Senior Developer, building scalable APIs, managing PostgreSQL queries, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile, Azure DevOps environment. 3–5 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development experience with hands-on delivery in Python and React.
• Proficiency in building REST API services using FastAPI, including endpoint definition and Pydantic models.
• Experience consuming and building REST APIs with JWT or API key authentication.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL and writing queries.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools, and strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python FastAPI backend services and REST APIs supporting MyAssets, FDDH, and product documentation platforms under the guidance of the Senior Developer.
• Develop and maintain React front-end components, including state management and UI integration with FastAPI.
• Write and maintain PostgreSQL queries, support schema updates, and assist with data migrations.
• Assist with REST API integrations to third-party documentation platforms via REST and data transformations.
• Apply SDLC practices across feature delivery and production releases.
• Debug and resolve issues across FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and React layers.
• Write clean, well-documented, reusable code and participate in code reviews and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and System Analysts to deliver quality solutions on time.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD delivery practices using Azure DevOps.
