Job summary

IgniteTech is hiring a Staff Software Engineer who thinks in systems, not just stories. You’ll sit at the intersection of product engineering, AI infrastructure, and technical leadership — owning the machinery that makes autonomous agent workflows reliable enough for enterprise use.

You’ll architect agent-ready systems, orchestrate parallel fleets, ship features quickly with reliability, and lead senior engineers while expanding the team’s capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack web engineering with genuine depth and a proven track record as a tech lead directing senior and mid-level engineers.
• AI-native operating style with scaffolding—prompts, context, rules, evals—that enables autonomous agent delivery to enterprise standards.
• Proficiency with frontier toolsets (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) and evaluating alternatives weekly.
• Strong model intuition to decide when to optimize for capability vs. cost.
• Product sense with ownership; ship polished solutions with enterprise-grade quality, security, and defensive coding.

Responsibilities

• Architect agent-ready systems and guardrails enabling full development workflows from plan to merged release.
• Orchestrate parallel agent fleets, inspect results, and improve capabilities for permanent, shareable fixes.
• Ship production features quickly in a loop with product leadership, balancing speed and reliability for enterprise customers.
• Lead senior engineers: scope work, review architecture and PRs, and model the AI-native way of working for others.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust end-to-end delivery and maintain high quality standards across the stack.
