Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the Philippines is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead a team in supporting new product development and process improvements. You will drive DFMA reviews, develop processes, and coordinate prototype builds to validate manufacturability and scale production.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing/engineering, strong cross-functional collaboration, and experience with ERP/MRP and CAD tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing/Process Engineering or NPI in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in new product development, product transfer, or manufacturing process development.
  • Knowledge of DFMA principles.
  • Experience with process development, prototype builds, tooling and equipment validation.
  • Familiarity with Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and SOPs.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement knowledge.
  • Experience with root cause analyses (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
  • Proficient in MS Office; ERP/MRP and CAD an advantage.

  • Supervise team of Mfg-Engineering professionals to support new product development for lavs 3.0 deployment. Plans and Sets day-to-day, establishes goals and objectives for a team and solve complex problems to support the business.

  • Collaborate with Product Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure manufacturing requirements are incorporated during product development.

  • Conduct Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) reviews and provide recommendations to optimize product manufacturability, assembly efficiency, quality, and cost.

  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes, work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute prototype builds, pilot runs, and engineering trials to validate manufacturing capability.

  • Design and improve manufacturing processes based on product requirements, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets are achieved.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, or New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience supporting new product development, product transfer, or manufacturing process development.

  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.

  • Experience in process development, prototype builds, manufacturing process design, tooling, fixtures, and equipment validation.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing documentation such as Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience in root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, or similar problem-solving methods.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP/MRP systems and CAD software is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and project coordination skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
