Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the Philippines is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer-ops to support new product development for lavs 3.0. Onsite, based in PH-BTG-TANAUAN CITY, the role focuses on layout design, process improvements and standardization across manufacturing lines.

The incumbent will perform motion/time studies, line balancing, cycle/takt time analysis, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement efficiency and waste-reduction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of production processes, material flow, layout and process design.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Lean manufacturing and Value Stream Mapping knowledge.
• Ability to read CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create and improve layout designs based on SME inputs, design reviews, bottleneck analysis and line balancing.
• Analyze space requirements, production processes and material flows for improvements.
• Design efficient layouts for people, materials, manufacturing, and equipment.
• Implement and manage layout improvement projects.
• Conduct motion and time studies, line balancing and resource planning.
• Analyze cycle time and takt time.
• Standardize processes with Standard Work Procedures and Work Sheets.
• Eliminate waste through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, purchasing, facilities, suppliers and contractors.

Job Description

• Layout Designs and Execution based on SME’s Process Design, Bottleneck analysis and improvements, Process Line Balancing, Usage rate and Labor hours Setup, Lean Manufacturing thru efficiency.
• Reviews current layout, identifies space requirements, understands production processes, & material flows and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develops, designs, and recommends efficient layout & flow of people, materials, manufacturing, & equipment.
• Implement and execute layout improvement projects
• Performs other Industrial engineering functions such as conducting motion and time studies, line balancing, resource planning, etc.
• Performs cycle time and takt time analysis.
• Drives the standardization of processes through providing Standard Work Procedure and Standard Work Sheets.
• Eliminate waste through continuous improvement projects.
• Interacts with production, warehouse, purchasing, facilities, suppliers, and contractors to implement the project.
• Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering oror a related engineering discipline.
• With 3-5 years of work-related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Should have experience in using Computer- Aided Design software such as AutoCad, Solidworks, etc.
• Knowledgeable in production process, designing material flow, layout and process flows, capacity planning.
• Excellent computer skills & proficient using Microsoft office.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Value Stream Mapping
• Can read & understand CAD drawings
