Job summary

Guardian Properties, LLC seeks a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting for a multi-entity fund structure. You will reconcile bank accounts, prepare journal entries, manage month-end close, and adapt QuickBooks for fund-level tracking with robust Excel models.

Experience with fund distributions, management fees, and multi-entity accounting is essential. CPA licensed or equivalent local credential preferred; this is a USD contractor role with remote work options for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with distribution processing and management fee calculations.
• Experience accounting for multi-entity fund structures.
• Strong working proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Online, including configuring sub-accounts and classes for fund-level tracking.
• Advanced Excel skills, including building allocation and reconciliation models.
• Experience supporting fund audits.
• Solid command of bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.
• Demonstrated discretion with confidential financial and investor data.
• Active CPA (or similar local) license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations across all entities and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare, record, and review journal entries including accruals and adjusting entries.
• Manage transactional accounting including intercompany activity.
• Own the month-end close process and variance review.
• Process fund distributions and calculate management fees per governing documents.
• Maintain accounting across multi-entity fund structures with QuickBooks sub-accounts and classes.
• Build and maintain Excel models to support allocations and reconciliations.
• Support annual fund audits with schedules, documentation, and auditor responses.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Handle confidential financial and investor information discreetly.
• Assist with other accounting projects and ad hoc requests.

This role owns core day-to-day accounting for a multi-entity fund structure, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, transactional accounting, and the month-end close. Because QuickBooks Enterprise Online serves as our core system rather than a dedicated fund accounting platform, the ideal candidate is comfortable adapting QuickBooks for fund-level tracking and pairing it with strong Excel modeling. Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete monthly bank reconciliations across all entities, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
• Prepare, record, and review journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and adjusting entries
• Manage transactional accounting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of receipts, disbursements, and intercompany activity
• Own the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and variance review
• Process fund distributions and calculate management fees in line with governing documents
• Maintain accounting across multi-entity fund structures, building fund-specific workflows in QuickBooks using sub-accounts and classes
• Build and maintain Excel models to support manual allocations and reconciliations alongside QuickBooks
