Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer in the Philippines to design, deploy, and optimize Azure-based infrastructure from Home. You will build automation, manage CI/CD pipelines, and support Magento‑based environments across development, staging, and production.

The role requires strong Linux administration and IaC skills, with a focus on reliability and security. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, participate in continuous learning, and align with the Day Shift,

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting Linux-based production environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Key Vault and Azure CLI.
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps: source control, pipelines, and build agents.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure using ARM templates and Azure CLI.
• Design, implement, and improve infrastructure automation using Puppet and IaC best practices.
• Build, support, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infra and app deployments using Azure DevOps.
• Configure and support Linux environments hosting Magento eCommerce platforms across dev/test/prod/DR.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure for performance, reliability, and availability.
• Apply security patches, manage security tooling, and ensure compliance.
• Provision environments, upgrade platforms, and synchronize databases between staging and production.
• Troubleshoot infra, networking, and app issues; support incident response and improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate emerging tech for platform enhancements.
• Report progress to the DevOps Team Lead for successful project delivery.

Your Role

• Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure resources using ARM templates and Azure CLI.
• Design, implement, and improve infrastructure automation using Puppet, Hiera, and infrastructure‑as‑code best practices.
• Build, support, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments using Azure DevOps.
• Configure, maintain, and support Linux‑based environments hosting Magento eCommerce platforms across development, testing, production, and disaster recovery environments.
• Monitor, optimize, and scale infrastructure to ensure platform performance, reliability, and availability.
• Apply security patches, manage platform security tooling, and maintain infrastructure compliance.
• Perform environment provisioning, platform upgrades, and database synchronization between staging and production.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application issues while supporting incident response and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that enhance platform capabilities.
• Report progress and collaborate regularly with the DevOps Team Lead to ensure successful project delivery.

Non‑negotiables

• Proven commercial experience supporting Linux‑based production environments using DevOps best practices.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Azure Key Vault, Azure CLI, and ARM template deployments.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, and build agent management.
• Strong experience with infrastructure automation using Puppet (preferred) or equivalent tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Salt.
• Experience configuring and administering Nginx web servers, PHP‑FPM, and Bash scripting for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across Linux systems and networked services.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and Agile software delivery methodologies.
• Passion for DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working in remote, cross‑functional teams.
• Availability to work overlapping Sydney business hours.

• Experience with Magento (Adobe Commerce) or other large‑scale eCommerce platforms.
• Percona MySQL, MySQL, or MariaDB database administration.
• HAProxy load balancer configuration and management.
• Varnish Cache configuration and performance tuning.
• Elasticsearch cluster operations and administration.
• RabbitMQ message broker configuration and monitoring.
• Prometheus and Grafana monitoring and observability stack.
• New Relic Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
• Centralized log management using rsyslog or similar solutions.
• High availability technologies including DRBD disk replication and NFS shared storage.
• Bind DNS configuration and management.
