Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the Philippines seeks an Industrial Engineer to lead factory layout improvements, design efficient flows, and drive continuous improvements across production lines. The role focuses on CAD-based layout design, cycle time analysis, and standard work implementation.

Candidate should have 3–5 years in manufacturing, a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, and experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

Qualifications

  • Reviews current layout, identifies space requirements, understands production processes and material flows.
  • Develops, designs, and recommends efficient layout and flow of people, materials, manufacturing and equipment.
  • Implements and executes layout improvement projects.
  • Performs motion/time studies, line balancing, resource planning.
  • Performs cycle time and takt time analysis.
  • Drives standardization through Standard Work Procedures and Standard Work Sheets.
  • Eliminate waste through continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborates with production, warehouse, purchasing, facilities, suppliers and contractors.

What You Will Do
  • Reviews current layout, identifies space requirements, understands production processes, & material flows and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develops, designs, and recommends efficient layout & flow of people, materials, manufacturing, & equipment.
  • Implement and execute layout improvement projects
  • Performs other Industrial engineering functions such as conducting motion and time studies, line balancing, resource planning, etc.
  • Performs cycle time and takt time analysis.
  • Drives the standardization of processes through providing Standard Work Procedure and Standard Work Sheets.
  • Eliminate waste through continuous improvement projects.
  • Interacts with production, warehouse, purchasing, facilities, suppliers, and contractors to implement the project.
  • Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • With 3-5 years of work-related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Should have experience in using Computer- Aided Design software such as AutoCad, Solidworks, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in production process, designing material flow, layout and process flows, capacity planning.
  • Excellent computer skills & proficient using Microsoft office.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Value Stream Mapping
  • Can read & understand CAD drawings
