Job summary

Cybalink Solutions is seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to maintain and secure Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL environments. The role involves resolving data-related issues across production, test, and development environments.

You will manage backups, security, performance, and automation using T-SQL and PowerShell, while collaborating with Australian stakeholders and ITSM processes. Office-based role in Pasig, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 3 years of combined application support and database administration experience.
• Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server, including configuration, patching, maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or similar cloud database platforms.
• Strong T-SQL skills and experience using PowerShell or equivalent automation tools.
• Experience managing database security, access controls, backups, restores, capacity, and disaster-recovery activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for application, integration, data, and database-related incidents.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL across production, test, and development environments.
• Manage database installation, configuration, patching, maintenance jobs, backups, and restores.
• Monitor database health, availability, performance, capacity, and scheduled jobs.
• Resolve performance issues involving queries, indexes, blocking, deadlocks, and long-running processes.
• Administer database access, roles, permissions, encryption, auditing, and security controls.
• Support database migrations, application upgrades, releases, testing, and deployment activities.
• Use T-SQL and PowerShell to investigate issues and automate routine tasks.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, reports, and accurate support records.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree inInformation Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 3 years of combined application support and database administration experience.

• Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server, including configuration, patching, maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, or similar cloud database platforms.

• Strong T-SQL skills and experience using PowerShell or equivalent automation tools.

• Experience managing database security, access controls, backups, restores, capacity, and disaster-recovery activities.

• Experience supporting enterprise applications and working within ITSM incident, request, problem, and change-management processes.

• Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300) certification is desirable, while exposure to Always On, clustering, replication, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, or Azure Monitor is advantageous.

• Strong English communication, ownership, and ability to work with Australian stakeholders.

• Willing towork full-time in the office located at Arcovia, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City(Monday-Friday, morning shift).
